How we handle your information.
What we collect when you contact us or visit this website, why, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Foxthorne is a bespoke joinery business based at The Old Bakehouse, Stockland, Honiton, Devon EX14 9DR. We are responsible for the personal information described in this notice. You can contact us about it at projects@foxthorne.co.uk or on 01404 819148.
Information you give us
When you email or phone us, we receive what you choose to send: usually your name, contact details, address and details of your property, and sometimes photographs or drawings. We use it to reply, discuss your project, prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, carry out the work and invoice for it.
We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract. Where work goes ahead, we keep records we need for the contract and for tax and accounting law.
Photographs of your project
We do not publish photographs or details of your home without your approval. Where you agree, we remove house names and numbers before anything appears on this website.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics. Analytics cookies are only set if you choose Accept in the cookie banner. They tell us which pages are visited and how people find the site, so we can improve it. We do not use advertising cookies.
If you choose Reject, analytics cookies are not set. Your choice is stored in your browser so we do not ask again. You can change it at any time using Cookie settings at the foot of every page.
Google processes analytics data on our behalf and may transfer it outside the UK under appropriate safeguards. See Google's privacy policy.
Hosting
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical information such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only where needed to carry out your project or run the business, for example with our accountant, or where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Where work goes ahead, we keep project and financial records for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to pass to someone else. Email us and we will respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
